Westley Bells Projects
Our first church bell was cast for Worcester Cathedral. It is a sharp second which gives a new ring of eight and a new ring of ten.
The bell was given to Worcester by cathedral bell ringer Bernard Taylor, in memory of his sister Clare Pipe-Wolferstan, one of the first women to be ordained in the Church of England; it is a perfect match with the original 15 bells cast in 1928.
Casting our first bell for one of the finest ringing peals in the country presented quite a challenge. The new bell is a perfect match – in casting quality and tone. The bell was tuned by Nigel Taylor at Whites of Appleton. Whites also supplied the bell’s fittings.
